September Release: Geez

Out-of-this-World Fun with the New Geeze Stamp Set!

I got my hands on the new Geeze 3x4 stamp set from Kindred Stamps, and I couldn't wait to create something fun with it. The quirky characters in this set inspired me to go bold and colorful with my designs. The characters in this set remind me of a zany duo known for their wild, interdimensional escapades—one's a brilliant but chaotic inventor, and the other's his often bewildered sidekick. If you’re into mind-bending adventures and quirky humor, you'll definitely recognize these two!"

For my first card, I used Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink and the blood splatter stencil for the background. The bright, zesty color sets the stage for the sci-fi vibes these characters bring. I layered it with paper from the Retro Paper Pack for a fun pop of color, making the whole card feel like it's straight out of a wild dimension.

Scientist
Hair: B12, B00, B000
Shirt: BG15, BG13, BG23
Shoes and Belt, W7, W5, W3
Gun: N4, N2

Kid
Shirt: Y19, Y17, Y15
Hair: E39, E37, E35
Pants: B45, B43
Shoes, N01

My second card follows a similar theme but with a slightly more muted palette to let the characters shine. The Retro Paper Pack adds that perfect touch of nostalgia while still keeping things modern and quirky. I couldn't resist playing around with a few embossing folder accents to tie the whole look together.

Both cards came together easily, and I’m so excited to send them to friends who will totally get the joke! If you're looking for a stamp set that’s quirky and full of personality, Geeze might just be what you need to take your projects to the next level.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve picked up this set or if you have any fun color combinations I should try next!

Paired with the cosmic paper pack, which adds a stellar backdrop to any project, the possibilities are as limitless as a witch’s imagination on a moonlit night.

Project 1: A Bewitching Greeting Card

I love how the herb motifs intertwine with the “Witchy” theme, creating tags that are both whimsical and enchanting. Whether it’s for birthdays, holidays, or just because, these tags are sure to add a spell of delight to any gift.

Project 3: A Mystical Box Card

Finally, I ventured into the realm of box cards, crafting a piece that’s as magical as it is beautiful. Using the box dies in combination with the cosmic paper, I created a layered design that opens up to reveal a celestial scene. It’s like unwrapping a piece of the night sky! July Release: Wild West

The Wildest Cards in the Wilderness: Railroad Inspired Cards

I had so much fun playing with the new Wild West stamps from Kindred Stamps for their July Release! These stamps are perfect for creating cards that capture the adventurous spirit of the wild west, and I couldn't wait to dive in and start crafting.

Creative Process and Inspiration

The moment I saw these stamps, I was inspired to create cards that felt like a ride through an iconic  railroad attraction. I chose to color all the images with Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers, which are fantastic for achieving smooth blends and vibrant colors. They brought the characters and scenes to life with rich, vivid hues.

Supplies Used

To bring these cards to life, I used a variety of supplies:

  • Desert Scene Stencil: These added interesting backgrounds and textures, enhancing the western theme.
  • Desert Scene Dies & Pull and Slide Die: The dies were perfect for cutting out intricate shapes and layering elements, while the slider die added an interactive element to some of the cards, mimicking the movement of a roller coaster!
  • Card Basics Die Set: This set helped create perfect card bases and layers, making the assembly process smooth and efficient.
  • Kindred White Embossing Powder: This was a game-changer for adding crisp, white embossed details, especially for sentiments and highlights.

For the inks, I used:

  • Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink: These inks were essential for creating the rustic, worn look of the old west. They blended beautifully and added depth and dimension to the backgrounds and edges of my cards.

Final Thoughts

Creating these cards was an absolute joy. The combination of the stamps' whimsical design and the vibrant colors of the Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers made for a delightful crafting experience. Whether you're a fan of the classic attraction or just love the wild west aesthetic, these stamps are a fantastic addition to any collection.

I hope these cards inspire you to create your own wild west-themed projects. Remember, crafting is all about having fun and letting your creativity run wild!
